The Formula F1600 Southern Series provides exciting wheel to wheel racing at an affordable cost. It was first launched in 2018 with support from Primus Racing Parts and SCCA. The goal of this series is to promote competitive racing at a regional cost.
Racing is an expensive sport and it is difficult to keep cost down. That is why all weekends run along side SCCA regional events and you must enter through SCCA. An additional fee of $25 per race is required to earn championship points and qualify to win contingencies. Championship trophies will be distributed at the end of the series.
With dozens of cars in the south east, organizing a local series was the solution to better racing.
This series is attractive to a wide variety of drivers from "the best of the best" to the "gentleman driver".
